Introduction

Control rooms serve as the operational core of transmission pipeline facilities, enabling real-time monitoring, control, and coordination of pipeline systems. Operators must manage critical parameters, respond to alarms, and ensure safe and efficient operations under dynamic conditions.

This 5-day intensive training program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, provides a focused and practical understanding of control room operations in transmission pipelines. It covers SCADA systems, operational control, alarm management, safety protocols, and emergency response.

Participants will gain essential skills to operate control systems, interpret real-time data, and manage operational and emergency scenarios effectively.

Day 3: Alarm Management & Pipeline Integrity

  • Alarm systems and prioritization
  • Handling abnormal conditions
  • Leak detection systems (LDS)
  • Basic integrity monitoring

Day 4: Safety, Risk Management & Emergency Response

  • Hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Safety procedures and compliance
  • Emergency response (leaks, ruptures, shutdowns)
  • Incident communication and coordination

Day 5: Coordination, Troubleshooting & Final Workshop
