Introduction
This training program, designed by Global Horizon Training Center, aims to provide seafarers with the essential knowledge, competencies, and practical skills required to perform designated security duties onboard ships in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) under the STCW Convention and the ISPS Code.
In today’s maritime environment, vessels face increasing security risks such as piracy, terrorism, smuggling, and unauthorized access. It is therefore critical for crew members assigned security responsibilities to be fully equipped with the capability to prevent, detect, and respond effectively to such threats.
This program combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enabling participants to implement Ship Security Plans (SSP), conduct inspections, manage access control, and respond to security incidents in compliance with international regulations and industry best practices.
