Introduction

The Smart Phone Repair course equips participants with essential skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mobile devices efficiently. Combining theoretical knowledge of mobile electronics with practical hands-on exercises, the program enables participants to identify faulty components, perform hardware and software repairs, and restore smartphones to full functionality. By the end of the course, attendees will gain confidence in repairing mobile devices while applying proper safety procedures and industry best practices.

Course Outline

Day 1 – Basics of Mobile Electronics & Components

  • Overview of mobile communication systems and digital electronics.
  • Introduction to various smartphone components (mic, speaker, vibrator, LCD, antenna, etc.).
  • Disassembly and assembly of different smartphone models.
  • Use of essential tools and instruments in mobile phone repair.
  • Testing basic components with a multimeter.
  • Introduction to circuit boards and motherboards.

Day 2 – Software Operations & Unlocking

  • Flashing, formatting, and software installation.
  • Unlocking devices and using secret codes.
  • Downloading firmware and updates.
  • Understanding smartphone software architecture.

Day 3 – PCB & Soldering Techniques

  • Introduction to Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and motherboards.
  • Identification of BGA and SMD components.
  • Soldering and desoldering techniques using soldering iron and rework stations.
  • Hands-on practice with BGA/SMD ICs and PCB troubleshooting.

Day 4 – Hardware Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

  • Fault-finding methodology for hardware issues.
  • Circuit tracing, jumper techniques, and component replacement.
  • Use of schematics for problem identification.
  • Practical exercises on common hardware faults.

Day 5 – Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Complex hardware and software problem-solving.
  • Integration of hardware and software repair techniques.
  • Advanced troubleshooting using technical resources and online support tools.
  • Case studies and final assessment of repair skills.
