Introduction

Hydrography and marine sciences play a vital role in understanding and managing our oceans and coastal environments. Objectives

  • Familiarize participants with modern equipment used in hydrographic surveys, such as multibeam echosounders, side-scan sonars, and GNSS.
  • Develop participants' understanding of project planning and management principles specific to hydrographic and marine sciences projects, including risk assessment and logistics.
  • Provide hands-on training in the preparation, operation, and troubleshooting of modern hydrographic equipment.
  • Enable participants to conduct fieldwork simulations and actual hydrographic surveys under the guidance of experienced instructors.
  • Equip participants with the necessary skills to process, analyze, and interpret hydrographic data using industry-standard software tools.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment and facilitate knowledge sharing among participants.

Day 5: Data Processing and Analysis

  • Introduction to data processing software: Bathymetric data processing, GIS tools, and visualization techniques.
