Introduction

Well control is a critical discipline in drilling operations, requiring advanced knowledge and decision-making to prevent and manage well control incidents. The IWCF Well Control Level 4 (L4) certification is designed for experienced professionals responsible for supervising and managing well control situations in complex drilling environments.

This program, designed by Global Horizon Training Center, prepares participants for the IWCF Level 4 certification by enhancing their technical competence in well control principles, pressure management, and emergency response in line with international standards.

Course Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand advanced well control principles and pressure dynamics
  • Identify causes of kicks and well control incidents
  • Apply well control methods to manage and kill wells safely
  • Interpret well control data and monitor drilling parameters
  • Operate and evaluate Blowout Preventer (BOP) systems
  • Perform calculations related to well control operations
  • Respond effectively to well control emergencies
  • Prepare for the IWCF Level 4 certification exam
