Introduction
Maritime security is a critical priority for ports and port facilities, requiring dedicated professionals to ensure compliance with international regulations and the protection of assets, personnel, and operations. The Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) plays a key role in implementing and maintaining effective security measures in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
This program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, is designed to equip participants with the competencies required to perform the duties of a Port Facility Security Officer. It focuses on security risk assessment, development and implementation of Port Facility Security Plans (PFSP), access control, incident response, and compliance with international maritime security standards.
