Introduction

The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), establishes a comprehensive framework to ensure maritime security worldwide.

This program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, provides participants with a thorough understanding of ISPS requirements and their practical application in both ship and port environments. It focuses on security risk assessment, development and implementation of security plans, compliance procedures, and coordination between stakeholders.

Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement ISPS measures, enhance security awareness, and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations.

 

Course Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and requirements of the ISPS Code
  • Identify maritime security threats and vulnerabilities

  • Develop and implement Ship Security Plans (SSP) and Port Facility Security Plans (PFSP)
