Introduction

Maritime security is a critical component of safe and efficient shipping operations. The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, developed by the International Maritime Organization, establishes a comprehensive framework to protect ships, ports, and cargo from security threats such as terrorism, piracy, and unauthorized access.

Within this framework, the roles of the Company Security Officer (CSO) and Ship Security Officer (SSO) are essential in ensuring the effective implementation of security measures both ashore and onboard vessels.

This program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools required to perform CSO and SSO duties effectively. It focuses on security risk assessment, development and implementation of Ship Security Plans (SSP), coordination with stakeholders, and compliance with ISPS requirements.

Participants will gain practical insights into managing maritime security operations, responding to threats, and maintaining compliance with international standards.
