Introduction

The International Safety Management (ISM) Code, established by the International Maritime Organization, provides a global framework for the safe management and operation of ships and for pollution prevention. A key pillar of the ISM framework is the role of the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), who serves as the critical link between ship and shore, ensuring effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and continuous compliance with international standards.

This program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical tools required to implement and manage ISM Code requirements effectively, with a special focus on the strategic and operational responsibilities of the DPA.
