Introduction

Integrated Field Development Planning (IFDP) is a multidisciplinary process used to evaluate, design, and optimize the development of oil and gas fields throughout their lifecycle. It brings together subsurface, drilling, production, facilities, economics, and project disciplines to develop an integrated strategy that maximizes field value while managing technical, operational, economic, and environmental risks.

This Integrated Field Development Planning training program is designed by Global Horizon Training Center to provide participants with a structured understanding of the key principles, workflows, technical considerations, and decision-making processes involved in developing oil and gas fields. The program emphasizes the integration of multidisciplinary data and the evaluation of different development scenarios to support effective field development decisions.

Objectives

By the end of this training program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals and objectives of integrated field development planning.

  • Understand the roles of different disciplines involved in field development.

  • Evaluate subsurface data and field development opportunities.

  • Understand reservoir development and production strategies.

  • Develop and assess different field development scenarios.

  • Understand well planning, drilling, and completion considerations.

  • Evaluate surface facilities and infrastructure requirements.
