Introduction

The Honeywell Experion DCS C300 Controller is a powerful platform widely used in process industries to provide robust automation, safety, and control solutions. This 12-day intensive training program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, provides hands-on and theoretical knowledge on configuring, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Honeywell’s Experion PKS with C300 controllers. Participants will gain essential skills in system architecture, logic configuration, communication setup, alarms, and diagnostics—all critical for maximizing the system’s performance and reliability in real-world industrial settings.

  • Configure C300 hardware and I/O modules.

  • Develop and deploy control strategies using Control Builder.

  • Basic control logic using FBD (Function Block Diagram)

  • PID loop configuration

  • Arithmetic, comparison, and logic blocks

  • Parameter tuning and loop testing

Day 6: Control Strategy Implementation (Part 2)

  • Sequencing, interlocking, and motor control logic

  • Use of setpoints, status, and permissive conditions

  • Cascade and ratio control strategies

  • Simulation of control strategies

Day 7: HMI and Operator Interface Configuration

  • Creating and editing HMI graphics

  • Alarm groups and control faceplates

  • Trends, history, and real-time data visualization

Day 8: Communication Configuration and Field Integration

  • Profibus, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet IP integration
