Introduction

Fire detection and alarm systems are critical components in safeguarding lives, assets, and operational continuity. As buildings and industrial environments become more complex, the need for reliable, standards-compliant detection systems has become essential.

This program, designed by Global Horizon Training Center, provides participants with the technical knowledge and practical understanding required to design, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with international standards and best practices.

Course Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of fire science and detection principles
  • Identify different types of fire detection and alarm systems and their applications
  • Interpret system design requirements based on international standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN)
  • Design and configure fire alarm systems for various facilities
  • Install, test, and commission fire detection systems effectively
  • Diagnose faults and perform maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes
  • Integrate fire alarm systems with other safety and building management systems
