Introduction

The concept of uncertainty as a quantifiable attribute is relatively new in the history of measurement, although error and error analysis have long been a part of the practice of measurement science or metrology.

It is now widely recognized that, when all of the known or suspected components of error have been evaluated and the appropriate corrections have been applied, there still remains an uncertainty about the correctness of the stated result, that is, a doubt about how well the result of the measurement represents the value of the quantity being measured.

This training was designed for participants that want to understand the Uncertainty in Measurement  and how could it be evaluated.

Course Objectives

  • Establishes general rules for evaluating and expressing uncertainty in measurement.

  • Understanding various levels of accuracy and in many fields.

  • Expression of uncertainty in the measurement of a well-defined physical quantity.

  • Provides general rules for evaluating and expressing uncertainty in measurement rather than detailed, technology-specific instructions.

Target Audience

  • This training course is designed for professionals and individuals interested in the Evaluation of Measurement Uncertainty.
  • It is suitable for those seeking to develop practical and theoretical understanding of uncertainty in measurement processes.
  • The course is intended for participants involved in calibration, testing, quality assurance, and laboratory work.
  • It is also relevant for engineers, technicians, and specialists aiming to improve measurement accuracy and reliability.
  • The program benefits anyone looking to enhance competence in metrology and measurement analysis.
