Introduction

Improper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals—both products and wastes—can lead to environmental contamination, affecting air, water, land, and even food. Contaminants such as chemical, radioactive, noise, construction-related, mold, and vibration hazards, if unmanaged, pose serious health risks and environmental damage. This five-day program provides participants with comprehensive knowledge of contamination types, contemporary methods to minimize or eliminate hazards, safe alternatives to hazardous products, and environmentally acceptable waste management practices. The course integrates workshops, DVD presentations, and classroom audit exercises to enhance learning and emphasize the economic benefits of pollution prevention.
