Introduction

Being part of a winning team requires collaboration among theoreticians, practitioners, and implementers to achieve a win-win outcome. Safety Management must address both systematic and holistic aspects, integrating hard and soft safety elements. High costs of failures, public opinion, and legislation highlight the need for expert health and safety management. This seminar, based on HSE UK's "Successful Health and Safety Management" (HSG 65), covers legislation, COSHH, hazard communication, risk assessments, HAZOP studies, culture, and behavior.

Methodology

The course is presented using PowerPoint presentations and videos. Case studies further enhance the learning outcome. Active participation will be encouraged so that participants can gain through the personal experiences of the group.
