Course Overview

The International Safety Management (ISM) Code, developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), establishes an international standard for the safe management and operation of ships and for pollution prevention. A critical element of the ISM framework is the role of the Designated Person Ashore (DPA), who serves as the key link between ship and shore, ensuring effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS).

This program, developed by Global Horizon Training Center, is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the ISM Code and the strategic and operational responsibilities of the DPA. It focuses on safety management systems, risk control, compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement.

Participants will gain practical knowledge and tools to effectively fulfill the DPA role, enhance safety performance, and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations.
